Chapter 4: I Always Run Away From My Problems

After sound check me and Nick went out to eat, he said he wanted to talk to me. I gladly went I loved to spend time with Nick, he was my best friend.

When we got to the restaurant he pulled out my chair like a wonderful gentleman, I liked him more and more everyday. After spending 20 minutes trying to make out the menu with the little French I know, I just asked the guy next to us what he thought I should get.

"Ive, I have to tell you something.", he sounded worried.
"Yes?", I asked hesitant to know the answer.
"I... uh..."
"Spit it out Nick.", I said growing impatient.
"I have a new girlfriend, and she... uh... does not like us hanging around.", he said, and I couldn't believe my ears.
"Why would she not want us to hang out?"
"She thinks we are to close."
"We are best friends! DUH, We are close.", I said as I stood up.
"Wait."
"No, if you can't be with me bye.", I said throwing my napkin down.

When I got to the tour bus, we were staying in the bus now, I was in tears. I ran in to see Kevin he always cheers me up.

"What is wrong Ive?", he asked me.
"Nick, Nick, Nick,", I said babbling on.
"Nick what?"
"He hates me."
"I doubt that."
"Then why would he pick some girl over our friendship?"
"What?"
"He is going to pick some girl over our life long friendship."
"He will realize he is a-", then Nick came through the door.
"I was yelling for you to stop and wait for me.", Nick said out of breath.
"No.", I said as I covered my ears.
"What did you say to her?", asked Kevin.
"I told her my new girlfriend does not like us hanging around, but she did not let me finish.", said Nick with anger in his voice.
"Nick", I said.
"Yes?", Nick said.
"You can finish.", said Kevin taking the words out of my mouth.
"I was going to ask you how I could tell her I was dumping her in the nicest way.", Nick said.
"Oh, really?", I asked.
"Yes.", Nick said while giving me a hug.
"I am going to go now.", I said completely embarrassed.

Why did I get all worked up about Nick's girlfriend? Maybe I think of Nick and me as more than 'just friends'. Oh well, I have to text Robin.
